An outdoor wedding ceremony on the River Exe Cafe

River Exe Cafe wedding

I have visited the River Exe Cafe before, it’s such a treat. A unique restaurant, sitting right in the middle of the Exe Estuary, accessible only by boat (or paddle board if you are feeling brave!). So imagine my excitement when Andrew and Kate got in touch to chat about their wedding photography there!

I can’t wait to share some more images from this beautiful day. It was just so special. From the excited gathering in Exmouth, and the windy boat trip across the River Exe to the venue. To Kate and Andrew’s wonderful and relaxed wedding ceremony on board in the glorious sunshine. The incredible and delicious food. And then the really stunning hazy sunset over the river, with guests milling around the boat and enjoying the ambience. It was such an incredible venue for a wedding and their day was just wonderful to photograph.

Here is a tiny peek at the images from their River Exe Cafe wedding day. If you haven’t visited before then I can’t recommend it enough! And if you are thinking about getting married there and looking for a photographer, then I’d absolutely love to hear from you!

I have now added River Exe Cafe wedding to my list of particularly wonderful venues for getting married. Just an incredible place for a wedding. Here are some of my other favourite and unusual wedding venues:

Hauser & Wirth art gallery wedding: Tamsin & Lukas

Prussia Cove wedding: Laurence & Zoe get married by the sea

Burgh Island hotel: Liz & John’s romantic elopement on an island

River Cottage wedding: Christine & Rich’s family celebrations
