A romantic Burgh Island elopement

Oh I absolutely love Burgh Island elopements! Burgh Island Hotel has to be one of the most romantic locations to get married. It’s an incredible spot anyway, as the tiny island gets cut off from the mainland by the tide. There is nothing there apart from the infamous Pilchard Inn, and the hotel itself. If you don’t know it, then I’d highly recommend finding out a bit more about Burgh Island Hotel. It’s unique and wonderful, and the closest that I’ll ever get to stepping back in time. The authentic art deco styling throughout is incredible, and the entire experience just on another level. A stunningly beautiful place to stay, and somewhere that feels so special.

So, what a perfect place for an elopement. Liz and John had the loveliest wedding celebration this week and it was really wonderful to photograph it with them. It was just a tiny ceremony with their two witnesses, followed by a few celebratory cocktails and dinner. Plus lots of excited phone calls to share the news with friends and family. Congratulations Liz and John, I loved your Burgh Island elopement!
