Lukas & Tamsin’s stylish Hauser & Wirth wedding
I hardly know where to start with Lukas and Tamsin’s stunning Hauser & Wirth wedding. It really was just one of the most beautiful days to photograph, and such an incredible venue to be working at. Hauser & Wirth art gallery in Somerset ticks ALL the boxes. It’s got a wonderful feel to it: relaxed, quirky, a bit different and very beautiful. You get to eat in the amazing Roth Bar & Grill, and have your wedding ceremony in an actual piece of art. The Radić Pavilion is quite an incredible structure, and you can read more about it here. Then there is also the architect renovated Durslade Farmhouse, which is also filled with art and the most beautiful light.
The first part of Lukas and Tamsin’s celebrations took place in Durslade Farmhouse. They had a Chinese tea ceremony in the dining room, against the incredible backdrop of artist Guillermo Kuitca‘s mural. Then they got ready for a wonderful art gallery ceremony in the Radić Pavilion. It was the most glorious September day, with soft afternoon sunshine. We couldn’t have been luckier with the weather. And the Oudolf Field at Hauser & Wirth was the most incredible backdrop. Tamsin walked up from the farmhouse with her father and bridesmaids, backlit by the golden sun. It was just so beautiful.
Lukas and Tamsin’s wedding ceremony in the Radić Pavilion was really moving and personal, led beautifully by celebrant Julie Lane. The incredible structure made such a beautiful setting for the ceremony. And it was just wonderful to photograph Tamsin and Lukas saying their vows surrounded by the most incredible floral displays. Huge kudos to florists Bramble & Wild who created these in the tiny gap between the gallery closing and the start of the wedding!
After the ceremony, I popped up to Bruton Dovecote with Tamsin and Lukas. They walked up there on the day they got engaged, so it was a particularly special location for them. I loved that it was there as a backdrop throughout their wedding day. It formed part of the view as Tamsin walked through the gallery’s Oudolf Field to her ceremony. And it was just so special to spend a bit of time up here with Lukas and Tamsin together at sunset.
It was the most incredible day to photograph, from start to finish, and I absolutely adored working with Lukas and Tamsin. Hauser & Wirth is a really stunning venue for a wedding, and this day was perfect in every way.
