Prussia Cove wedding: Laurence & Zoe get married by the sea

There have been some stand out locations over the years I have been photographing weddings. I can so clearly remember my first wedding at Tunnels Beaches, standing on a rock photographing wedding guests paddling in the sea, feeling delighted disbelief that this was my actual job. Similarly with Kerry and Scott’s boat trip up the River Dart, Kayleigh and Tom’s wedding in the tiny chapel in the Italian mountains, Amy and Ashley’s celebrations on the coast of Northern Ireland… I’ve been incredibly lucky and had many moments where I am just bowled over by where I find myself. Laurence and Zoe’s Prussia Cove wedding was absolutely one of those moments.

Prussia Cove wedding

Prussia Cove is an incredible stretch of Cornish coastline. It covers a series of pretty cottages and the main house, Porth en Alls, a private beach, and a peninsula overlooking the ocean. Weddings by the sea are wonderful, and I was so excited to discover Prussia Cove. I hadn’t been aware of it until Laurence and Zoe got in touch about their wedding. I arrived on the Friday to have a look around, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. There is nothing quite like the coast in Cornwall. It’s just so romantic and beautiful. I was utterly delighted to be there. I had the wonderful Debs Alexander with me as a second photographer. And Lol and Zoe are just a ridiculously lovely couple. I’m not sure I stopped smiling the entire time!

This wedding at Prussia Cove was so wonderful to photograph. It was a relaxed celebration, with some of the loveliest people ever! Debs and I had such a fun time exploring Prussia Cove, seeing what everyone was up to in different places. I kept moving between the beaches, around the cottages, the main house. It was just lovely to get a sense of the whole experience for all the guests. I had the pleasure of working with a team of really wonderful wedding suppliers (details below), and it just made the whole day such a joy to photograph. Lol and Zoe’s joy at getting married was just so infectious. The loveliest couple, and a really wonderful day for their celebrations. I hope you enjoy browsing these images as much as I loved creating them!
