Family photography in North Devon
Ah I just loved this family photography session in North Devon. I’ve been looking forward to sharing some of the images for ages! Amy is a wonderful family photographer herself, but wanted to be in the photos along with her own family during their Devon holiday. Photographing other photographers is always a bit of a daunting task, but it was a huge pleasure to meet Amy and family, and I just loved hanging out with them all.
The beaches in North Devon are so wonderful for photography. I really love the wide spaces, with plenty of room to get away from other people on the beach. It’s always particularly beautiful when the tide is out and you have this wide expanse of flat sand, reflecting the subjects. The light is absolutely beautiful, and I love the colours that you get at the beach. But most of all, the beach is just a fab place to hang out, and this always makes for a great family session. When the children are having fun, the photos happen naturally. I could have photographed Amy’s daughter (and her curls!) bouncing through the waves for days!
