Pennard House wedding: Krishna & Phil’s beautiful day

It has been a particularly busy few weeks of shooting, and I’m slowly catching up with things at the editing end. I have several really gorgeous weddings that I haven’t shared yet, and I can’t wait to work my way through all of these images.

Here is a little look at Krishna and Phil’s incredibly beautiful day at Pennard House in Somerset. Krishna looked spectacularly good in her beautiful Suzanne Neville dress, one of their new season designs, basically looking like it was made for her! I love this shot of them above, from just after their wedding ceremony, absolutely glowing with happiness as they walk through a cloud of confetti; the most beautiful dried petals, collected over several years from a particularly special rose bush.

We were so lucky with the weather, in what was actually a rather stormy and autumnal week. There were a couple of biblical showers in the morning, which I managed to dodge successfully as I moved between Krish and Phil’s respective getting ready locations. We didn’t quite manage an outdoor ceremony as planned, but it stayed dry and actually rather lovely, right through until early evening. It was so great to be outside for the drinks reception and photographs, as Pennard House has such gorgeous grounds and it was great to make the most of these, as well as the indoor spaces.

Krishna and Phil’s wedding was such an enormous delight, not only because everything was so beautiful to photograph, but because their family and friends were utterly lovely: warm and funny, friendly and welcoming. I loved getting to know everyone and it was such a huge pleasure to share the day with them all. This remains one of the most amazing parts of this job for me: the wonderful people that I get to meet, and the way that people continue to welcome me in to their celebrations and make me feel like part of the family. Just incredible. Anyway, enough of the words, I will leave you to enjoy the pictures…
