Brympton House wedding: Thomas and Leonora’s elegant black tie celebration
I loved so much – okay, everything – about Thomas and Leonora’s stunningly elegant October wedding in Somerset. Brympton House is a venue that I absolutely adore shooting at, as there are so many different and completely magnificent parts to it. But it was Leonora and Tom, and their brilliant friends and family, who really made everything so special. Firstly, they had such a wonderful vision for their day, with so many elements that made it all so personal to them, and this fantastic overall feeling of relaxed elegance. There was a real sense of celebrating who they are as a couple, from the little touches such as the adopted lobsters they bought for each guest, to the incredible feast that they put on for everyone to share, and just their whole approach to the day itself. It was such a warm and relaxed celebration of their marriage, surrounded by all their friends and family, and everyone went out of their way to welcome me and make me feel a part of the day. And then it was all just so beautiful! From the magnificent setting of Brympton House, to the black tie dress code and catwalk worthy wedding guests, to the most stunning bouquets and incredible floral arrangements throughout. Leonora looked show-stoppingly good in her Naomi Neoh/Anna Campbell combination, with the blustery October day helping to create the most beautiful shapes with the flowing skirt. We were actually right in the middle of Storm Brian, so all braced for really wet and difficult weather, but instead we got a pretty perfect autumn day, with nothing more than the odd shower. The whole day was such a wonderful celebration, completely fitting for such a brilliant couple.
Thank you Thomas and Leonora, for inviting me to photograph your utterly incredible day. I couldn’t have loved it more. I’ll leave the very last words to Thomas and Leonora themselves, who wrote to me afterwards and said (yes, it did make me cry), “(we) wanted to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for being so incredible on 21st October 2017. We really are so blessed to have found such an amazing lady to take the most important photos, of our special day. Your sheer professionalism, love, care and insane perfection made for the most amazing memories… Thank you, so much, for agreeing to take us on – we couldn’t have done it without you. You really are one in a million.”
