Eliza and Edoardo’s Maunsel House wedding took place in June last year, and was such a beautiful day to photograph. Ed and Eliza both looked incredible, as did their enormous entourage of bridesmaids and groomsmen – I really loved all the different coloured silks of the bridesmaid dresses, and the colours reflected in the stunning flowers of the bouquets and other arrangements.
It was the middle of the most wonderful heatwave, and we were treated to glorious sun through the whole day, including the most beautiful golden evening light. Which was just perfect, as Ed and Eliza’s outdoor ceremony took place on the the lawn in the afternoon sunshine, followed by a long and relaxed wedding breakfast served under the pergola.
I always love photographing weddings at Maunsel House – it is a wedding venue unlike any other, and the most unique place for a wedding celebration, with the quirkiest interiors and such a variety of different spaces to use through the day. Eliza and Ed came over from their home in Singapore to celebrate in style in the English countryside, and this was the ideal location for it. From Ed and the groomsmen breakfasting in the medieval bar, and Eliza and the bridesmaids getting ready in the magnificent surroundings of the Kings Room, to the beautiful outdoor areas, and a party in the Library to finish the night, it was a wonderful day to photograph, and I loved every minute of it. Here is a selection of some of my favourite images from their gorgeous day.
