A bride and groom walking across the sand at their Tunnels Beaches elopement wedding

Tunnels Beaches elopement wedding

Hugest congratulations to lovely Kristy and Steve, who had a tiny wedding by the sea at the ever wonderful Tunnels Beaches in North Devon. They said their vows and celebrated with just immediate family and a couple of friends. It was an absolutely glorious afternoon. Not only because of the sunshine (although, just LOOK at it!); but because they were the loveliest bunch of people. The entire afternoon was so relaxed and special.

I first photographed a wedding at Tunnels Beaches back in 2012. Hannah and Marek said their vows along with their lovely Cockerpoo Wulfric by their side. I remember photographing the guests hanging out on the beach afterwards, and thinking that I have the best job in the world. Happily, I still feel exactly the same, and I have been back to this brilliant wedding venue many times since. It has continued to develop over the years, adding excellent guest accommodation and always improving the facilities. But the basic offering remains the same. It is the most incredible coastal venue, with the sound of the waves and seagulls, the unique tidal pool, your own beach and sunset views over the sea.

I know I often use this term, but it genuinely was such a privilege to share Kristy and Steve’s day at Tunnels Beaches, and to photograph their incredibly special gathering. And it always makes me smile when I get to dip my toes in the sea and call it work. Here is a tiny preview of their images.

Venue: Tunnels Beaches, North Devon
