Relaxed family photography: Sunday morning in Lympstone
I really love a relaxed family photography session that centres around the things your family would normally do. I loved spending time with the Jones family and photographing the time that they spent together one weekend morning. An easy Sunday morning, with the children playing at home, then a whole load of fun chasing kite tails around the park, and an explore of the local harbour – what a perfect little slice of life to capture.
I started at home with them in Lympstone, and it was really wonderful to catch the children playing in their pyjamas – dog tea party anyone? Then we headed off into the village to get some fresh air and fly a kite. The children’s faces chasing the kite tails were utterly wonderful and I absolutely loved photographing the whole family spending time together like this. Lympstone was a perfect backdrop for the images, with the estuary opening up behind us. Plus some huge storm clouds gathering, giving us some really beautiful light! Anyway, enough words, here are some photos!
I love photographing families just being themselves. It’s great to see you spending time together in the places that you normally spend time, and photographing the every day for you. There is nothing more wonderful than the moments you spend with your family; your children laughing, playing and cuddling with you, they way that you look at each other and the love between you all.
