Immy & Leo’s wedding at Hauser & Wirth, Somerset
Ohhh I’m so excited to share Immy and Leo’s Hauser & Wirth wedding day with you! I have recently completed wedding albums with them, and we decided it was time to get some of their images up here on the blog.
Their wedding took place in autumn 2019, in full Somerset style. The church is so rural that their ceremony had to be carefully timed to fit around cows’ milking times and guests had to wear plastic shoe covers to walk through the muddy farmyard to access the church. All completely worth it for the gorgeous local church, and the views across the surrounding fields towards Immy’s parents’ house.
The celebrations afterwards took place at the beautiful Hauser & Wirth gallery in Bruton. It’s the first time that I have visited Hauser & Wirth, and it really was the most incredible location for their wedding. From Immy getting ready in Durslade Farmhouse, to their delicious meal and hilarious ceilidh at the Roth Bar & Grill, it was all just utterly wonderful to photograph. I can’t recommend it enough as a Somerset wedding venue – really stunning surroundings and the most delicious food and drink.
I’ve absolutely loved getting to know Immy and Leo over the last few years. From when they first got in contact to talk about their photography, they have been just the loveliest couple to work with. We’ve had video calls where I’ve mostly just ended up waving to their dogs, a delicious lunch at the Roth Bar & Grill to chat everything through, and I’ve got to know their lovely families as well. Photographing them getting married felt like celebrating with old friends, and it was an enormous pleasure to capture the amazing bond between them both. It has recently been wonderful to design a set of wedding albums for them, so that they can enjoy looking back at their beautiful day in print. Anyway, enough waffle!
