Anran Devon wedding: Katie & Simon
Well, I had the best day on Saturday! Katie and Simon got married in beautiful Devon countryside, in the most gorgeous Devon sunshine, and threw the best party ever. I had the most wonderful time photographing the whole event, from getting ready with views across the fields, to a heartfelt and genuine ceremony in the local church at Landscove. Then the most fabulous celebration in the stunning Anran glasshouse, and finishing with the band leading a huge conga to the surprise Tiki after party in the incredible hut, complete with all those amazing chandeliers. The whole day was completely brilliant!
Katie and Simon have been just the loveliest couple to get to know. I met up with them earlier this year for a pre-wedding shoot on the beach in South Devon, and loved spending the time with them then. So it was amazing to also meet Katie and Simon’s wonderful families on Saturday – no surprise that they are both such excellent humans, as they clearly both have such kind, loving and supportive families behind them. I was quite sad to say goodbye to them all when I left!
But I’m hugely excited to get back to the desk and edit these photos for Katie and Simon! Apart from being such a gorgeous day all round, Anran in Devon is one of my favourite local venues, and it was a huge pleasure to return there this weekend. The glasshouse is a really jaw-dropping venue for a wedding reception, and it looked particularly incredible with Emma Hewlett’s beautiful flowers. I loved that the sun was shining and guests were sitting there in their sunglasses during the speeches! Katie and Simon – thank you for inviting me to share your amazing celebrations, and my hugest congratulations to you both. It was just a fabulous day all round, and I’m really delighted to put this selection of images together as a preview.
