Chris & Lucy’s stunning marquee wedding at River Cottage

It’s always a real treat to photograph a wedding at River Cottage. It’s one of my favourite ever wedding venues. What’s not to love – a relaxed atmosphere, food to die for, and the most beautiful location. I’ve photographed many weddings there over the years, and they have always been wonderful.

Chris and Lucy’s wedding was no exception – just such a stunning day. I loved capturing it all so much, and it’s such a pleasure to share some of the images now. It was great fun photographing Lucy and the girls all getting ready at the lovely Dower House Hotel. Laura Cullen worked with me as a second photographer and captured Chris and the boys at Hawkchurch getting ready for the church ceremony.

The wedding celebrations at River Cottage were just completely fabulous. They started with drinks and canapés in the kitchen garden, then guests walked through the field to the marquee for the meal. River Cottage is such a great location for a marquee wedding. It’s just the most incredible spot with views right across the Devon fields and hills. The marquee was so beautiful, with stunning white flower arrangements and greenery throughout. And watching the sun go down at the end of the wedding reception was just really special.

I have absolutely loved getting to know Lucy and Chris, and their wonderful families and friends. Their wedding day at River Cottage was just incredible, and I hope you enjoy looking through these images!
