Newborn photo session at home: Florence
I absolutely loved this photography session. The Northam family are officially one of my absolute favourites. I photographed Lisa and Nick’s wedding back in 2012, then captured their first baby Elliott through his first year in 2015. Now their family has grown further, and I have had the pleasure of photographing new baby Florence at their home outside Exeter.
Having your newborn photo session at home is a really lovely way to capture this special time. Those first few weeks with your new baby are unlike anything else. That slightly hazy, sleep-deprived blur of days and nights, with new baby smells and noises, and a whole new family dynamic to get used to. It is a real privilege for me to be invited in with my camera. I love creating a set of images that capture the essence of these days, so that you can look at the photographs and completely remember how it all felt.
So I really loved spending a couple of hours with the whole family to create a set of newborn images for them. It was wonderful to see Lisa and Nick as new parents again, and see how Elliott has grown into such a gorgeous little boy, carefully exploring and getting to know his brand new sister. I can’t wait to watch them grow up together!
I offer newborn photo sessions at your home in Devon, Somerset and further around the South West. I’m also very happy to travel further around the UK. Photographing your newborn baby at home is such a privilege. I’d love to hear from you if you’d like to find out more!
