Taunton newborn session
I carry out newborn photo sessions in homes across the South West. Here are some images from a lovely newborn session in Taunton earlier this year. It was really special to spend a little bit of time with the family at their Somerset home, and create some photos of all the family together.
With a newborn session, there are a few key things that I’m always looking to photograph. As well as some straightforward portraits of you all, there are lots more bits that I’m looking out for. Tiny details of your new baby, which I’ll usually capture while you are having cuddles. I love to see any parent individually with their baby, to photograph the connection between you. I am trying to capture the feeling of holding your tiny baby, and create images that show your relationship right from these first days. And then, more than anything, I want to capture a sense of this particular time in your lives. This is why it always works for me in your home setting. Seeing you all together here, adjusting to this new addition to your family. The sense of wonder, the beginning of a relationship between new siblings, the feel of how tiny and dependant your baby actually is.
