Hello! I’m so excited to be photographing your wedding day, and this information will help you get the very best out of your wedding photography. It is all important to help me plan properly.

THE PEOPLE

I know that everyone at your wedding is important, and I will always do my best to include all your guests in the photos. However, it is really useful for me to know more about the key people around you, so feel free to include as much information here as you like.

Your children

Let me know if you have any children of your own, either together or individually. Please let me know their age (or if they are adults).

Parents and/or step-parents (partner one)

If you will have parents at the wedding, please let me know who they are. First names is fine, and please let me know if they are separated or there is any extra info that might be helpful for me to know.

It is important to me to know who is important to you, then I can do my best to include them in your photography throughout the day. First names only is fine thanks, but please let me know who everyone is and any extra relevant info. E.g. ‘sister Kate, wife Jess and their children Max (age 4) and baby Imogen; godmother Jean (visiting from Australia)’, etc.

Tell me about your wedding party (bridesmaids, best women, ushers, groomspeople, etc.). Please include the ages of any children.

THE PHOTOS

For most of the day, my photographs will be unobtrusive documentary coverage of what is taking place. However, most people want some relaxed portraits and group photos, so you can let me know more about this here.

Groups/portraits (pre-ceremony)

Are there any particular photos that either of you would like before you leave for your wedding ceremony? E.g. portraits of you before you leave, or with parents, or wedding party. If there is anywhere in particular that you would like these taken then please also let me know this.

Groups/portraits (post-ceremony)

Please give me a full list of all the group photos you would like, with first names of everyone you would like included and indicating who each group is. E.g. ‘1. Alex’s immediate family: Ian & Sonia, Hannah, Alex & Fred. 2. Emma with siblings: Emma plus Albert & Charlotte. ‘. Most couples usually have around 8 group photos, although I’m very happy to carry out more or less depending on what suits you.

Full group photo

Would you like to include a full group photo with ALL wedding guests? (this usually takes around ten minutes to organise & I can chat to you about the best time to carry it out)

Restrictions

Are there any restrictions I need to know about regarding your photography? This may be particularly relevant for a church ceremony. Or let me know if anyone has limited mobility that might impact on group photos, etc.

Responsible helpers

Who will be responsible for gathering the groups together? It’s often useful to have someone for each side of the family. Please don’t forget to let them know that you have nominated them to help!

Couple portraits

We can chat about these, but are there any particular locations that you have in mind for your couple portraits? Or anything else that you would like to note here?

Indoor alternative

Is there an indoor alternative for bad weather? Both for the group photos and your couple portraits?

PHOTOGRAPHY DETAILS

Your full day wedding photography (£2,850) is 8 hours. If you would like longer coverage then extra hours can be added on (£250 per hour).

What time would you like to start and finish your photography?

It can often be really lovely to photograph more or your getting ready, or later at the party – I’m completely happy with whatever you would like. We can chat this through before you decide if that helps.

Number of extra hours required

Additional time can be added to your above coverage at £250ph. Please confirm the number of extra hours you would like.

Options for running late

Occasionally things will run late on your wedding day and this can sometimes result in key events (e.g. first dance) taking place after the planned end of your photography coverage. If necessary, further coverage can just be added on the day and invoiced afterwards. Please indicate your preference if things do run late:

Carry on for an extra hour without interrupting your day to discuss it with you.

Check with you on the day to decide what you would like to do.

Stick with the agreed coverage, even if this means missing key events.

Your images

And finally, just a few quick questions about sharing your images after the wedding. Your full set of images will be ready within 6 weeks of your wedding date, and you’ll receive them as a private online gallery to look through and download from.

Preview images

Some people love to have some immediate photos to see and share with others. Would you like to receive a small selection of images a few days after your wedding?

Your online gallery

After you receive your private online gallery to view your images, you will also have the option to share this with others. Anyone who views the gallery will also be able to order professional prints and other products through the gallery. You can also choose whether you would like gallery visitors to have access to download images, or if you would prefer downloads to be just for yourselves.

Make image downloads available for all gallery visitors.

Keep image downloads only available to us, the couple.

Sharing your images

Images from your wedding may be occasionally used in general terms to promote my business and share my work. You can request that these images are removed at any point, and I’m very happy to let you know that I’m using any if you prefer. Please can you let me know if you are happy with this?

No, please do not use any images for general marketing

Sharing with suppliers

Your wedding suppliers may ask me to share images, e.g. flower photos for your florist. I will always ask suppliers to double check with you before sharing anything, but please let me know if you are potentially happy for suppliers to have images.
