Making the most of your wedding photos

Hooray, this is the fun part!

You should now have received your gallery link. Hopefully you have had a wonderful time looking through your wedding images and reliving all the joy of the day. Here is some extra information about using the gallery, downloading images and getting the most from your wedding photos. Have a read through and please do get in touch with me at any point if you have any queries!

Your online gallery is the perfect way to view, share, download and print your wedding photos. When you log in, you’ll see a walk through that should explain the basics, but there is a little more in depth information here. You can also use the live chat window in the gallery to access online help if you need it at any point.

STORING YOUR IMAGES

Your online gallery will be available for two years from your wedding date, and you’ll receive a reminder when it is due to expire. After this time you will have the option to keep the online storage for a small annual fee. Otherwise it will no longer be available, so please make sure you have downloaded your images successfully before this.

As with everything, it is important to have copies of your images saved in two different places. I recommend keeping your main copy of your images on your most current laptop or desktop, and making a back up copy in a different place, ideally online, e.g. extending your online gallery storage, or Google Drive, Dropbox, etc. Please ask me for more details if you are unsure how to do any of this.

The copyright for the images remains with Helen Lisk Photography, but you are fully licensed (forever!) to share them and make any number of prints for personal use, which includes your friends and family too. The photos should not be used for anything other than personal sharing and printing without my written permission, e.g. your business use, entered into competitions, for promotional purposes, etc.  Please do feel free to ask if you are not sure about any of this!

SHARING ONLINE

I am always really delighted if you’d like to share any of your images on social media. I rely almost entirely on word of mouth recommendations to grow my business, so it’s really great when client share their photos and experiences.  If you are able to link back to www.helenliskphotography.co.uk or tag in my social media links, e.g. www.facebook.com/helenliskphotographywww.instagram.com/helenliskphotography, then this is also always hugely helpful.  If you’d prefer not to share your images then this is, of course, absolutely fine!

Your wedding suppliers may also like to use images to share on their own social media (e.g. flower images for your florist), and I’m always really happy to send files to them, with your permission. They must credit me online and use any relevant social media tags. Please ask them to contact me directly and I can organise this for them: info@helenliskphotography.co.uk.

PRINTING YOUR PHOTOS

Once you have downloaded your high resolution digital images, you are welcome to print these yourself. The images have been finished to the best possible standard for you, but please do bear in mind that the quality of any final prints can vary enormously, depending on where you get them printed.

You have the option to order professional prints, frames and other products through your online gallery. These prints will be individually prepared and checked, and printed to the highest quality for you, and I would always recommend this for any special images you would like to display. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me if you would like more information on any of the options available.

WEDDING ALBUMS

A fine art wedding album is such a perfect way to make the most of your photographs. The images are printed directly onto the page and each double spread opens out flat. The high quality fine art paper has a perfect matte finish and the archival quality materials mean your album is made to last. Choose from a range of leather and vegan covers, and personalise these with text if you like.

You can read more about wedding albums in this blog post here.

If you have already chosen to include an album, then I will ask you for your image selections and put together a design for you to look through. Here is a little more information about the process:

You also have the option to purchase and design your album directly through the online gallery as follows:

If you have any questions at all regarding the digital files, printing, albums or sharing your wedding photos then please don’t hesitate to get in touch at any point.
